The Voice New Testament

the good folks from The Voice project have released a revised and updated edition of The Voice New Testament.

The Voice New Testament is a fresh modern take on ancient words. Chris Seay, Lauren Winner, Brian McLaren, Greg Garrett, and other writers, scholars, poets, artists, and singer/songwriters have contributed to The Voice Scripture Project.

The Voice is based on the best and earliest manuscripts of the original Biblical texts in their original languages. the result is a work that gives us readers Scripture in a very real narrative and conversational form. The Voice aims for the meaning and experience of Scripture.

The Voice New Testament inspires, edifies, and entertains. it’s a joy to read and study.

the style, flow, and language from writer to writer in The Voice New Testament is excellent and easy to read. the commentary notes are wonderful. the layout is great.

The Voice New Testament is a wonderful version of the Bible for small groups and conversational studies. it’s great for youth and new believers, too.

The Voice New Testament should not used in isolation for in depth study and scholarly work at seminary, university, or Bible colleges. there’s no reason, however, The Voice could not be the perfect compliment to the more academic and scholarly New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.

The Voice New Testament is perfect for a relaxing read and laid back look into the New Testament.

*Full Disclosure: I received this book for free from Thomas Nelson through “Book Sneeze.” They give free books to bloggers for honest reviews.*
