Who Do You Think You Are? looks to answer these questions…
who are you?
what defines you?
what is your identity?
“…this book,” Driscoll writes, “is dedicated to helping you discover the power and joy that is found only in an identity founded and sustained in and by Jesus. My prayer is that you’ll find the answer to ‘Who am I’ in Christ, who is I AM.” (pg. 14)
Driscoll is a gifted communicator. he tells stories and explores Biblical texts wonderfully.
identity is something people struggle with. they look to pop culture, unhealthy relationships, and unhealthy expectations. like the quote from Driscoll above, true identity found in Christ is wonderful. it is powerful and joyful. it doesn’t mean life is easy; it does mean we have the I AM to help us through.
Who Do You Think You Are? would be a great resource for a sermon series. it would be a wonderful book to read for a small group Reading Club or in conjunction with Bible Study.
